Politics in America, Part Deux

Have Americans become so enamored of athletes and actors, that we are actually allowing them to choose our leaders for us? Everywhere I look these days, every politician has backing from either Hollywood, or some athlete telling me that I should choose this person.

What happened to each citizen having the responsibility to choose their representatives based on the issues, and how we think they will handle them? How is an athlete, or an actor, qualified to tell me who I should vote for? Because they make more money than I and my brother's and sister's do? I've got just one thing to say to these so-called celebrities who think it is their God-given right to tell me how I should vote:

I and my brothers and sisters in the Armed Forces endure separation from our loved ones, often for months, sometimes over a year, at a time, making barely enough money to keep our families fed and housed, in order for you to sit in front of a camera and look pretty. While getting paid outrageous amounts of money to do so!

I think that I am more than qualified to judge for myself who I should vote for. I don't need you to do it for me! I am more than tired of hearing from Oprah that Obama is the only person for the job, and it makes me sicker than I can even discuss whenever I hear some so-called Hollywood Celebrity bash our President!

Granted, he may not be the best President we have ever had, but he has done the job he was elected for! For everyone who thinks this war we are in is of Pres. Bush's making, just remember that Clinton possessed the information that could have stopped the 9/11 attacks!

Stay tuned for more ranting!
